MEL TORMÉ 100 PROJECT
Kicking off on September 13th with 3 nights at London’s Ronnie Scott’s, the multi-faceted Mel Tormé 100 Project will honor the centenary of James’ incredible father, legendary jazz singer, actor, songwriter and author Mel Tormé. Back Stateside, celebrations will include 100 Years Of Mel concerts at the Hollywood Bowl and several subsequent US venues, plus a series of East Coast Holiday Symphony Pops concerts saluting the 80th Anniversary of Mel and Bob Well’s co-write, “The Christmas Song” (Chestnuts Roasting On An Open Fire) with performances by Mel’s youngest son, award-winning vocalist James Tormé and an incredible cast of celebrity guest stars. The MT 100 Project also includes a brand new duets album, a long overdue documentary film, and more.

“I tell you, any singer that goes in to hear this guy sing has got to go out and cut his throat. He’s the the most fantastic musical performer I think we’ve ever had...”
““Mel was kind of a lifetime adolescent in a very positive sense, always being enthusiastic and hopeful and excited and willing to try anything. He worked himself too hard, but it wasn’t for the money. It was just because if folks wanted to spend an evening with Mel, he wasn’t going to deny them.””
